It is the mission of Rosa Park Elementary School to create a positive school culture that is conducive to learning; set high standards and accountability for learning; facilitate and implement an instructional program that maximizes student learning; and comprehensively engage parents and community in support of the school’s goals. It includes an early childhood center for three-year-old students; 13 elementary schools pre-kindergarten through fifth grade; five secondary schools—a 6th and 7th Grade Center (to be separated into two distinct facilities), 8th Grade Center, the High School Freshman Academy, High School (Grades 10-12,) and the Union Alternative School for Union Public Schools was recognized by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education as the Oklahoma’s Promise 2023 State 6A Champion for having 172 seniors from the class of 2022 qualify for the Oklahoma’s Promise Scholarship. Union Alternative School Union Public Schools has partnered with Community Action Project-Tulsa County (CAPTC) to provide an early childhood program. This partnership provides full day educational services at Rosa Park Early Childhood Education Center for Union families with children who turn three by September 1. Clever is set up and managed by schools - so every resource your child sees on Clever has been selected by their school. The data in Clever is only used to support your child’s education - it is never sold or used for advertising. Today, there are eight Full-Service Community Schools at Union: Boevers Elementary, Clark Elementary, Grove Elementary, Jarman Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, McAuliffe Elementary, Ochoa Elementary, and Rosa Parks Elementary. Union offered health clinics at Rosa Parks and Roy Clark Elementary Schools until they were closed by OU Physicians in Hot Lunch Program. Union students have the option of bringing their lunch or purchasing a hot lunch, sandwich or salad in the school cafeteria. Elementary students should purchase lunch tickets from the cafeteria manager between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m. Schools can accept either a daily cash payment for meals or a pre-paid dollar amount ranging from $1 to $200. Only children enrolled for in-person classes at Union Public Schools in grades pre-kindergarten through seventh grade, as well as the Rosa Parks Early Childhood Education Center, may participate in the program. A child may enroll in the before-school session, the after-school session, or both. Enrollment is required each year for all students. The district school sites are staffed with a full complement of personnel, including teachers, counselors, nurses, media specialists, administrators, teacher aides, computer technicians, food service staff, secretarial staff, and custodial staff. The Union Extended Day Program (EDP) was created to provide safe, alternative educational child care, enhancing the child’s extended day for students enrolled in Rosa Parks Early Childhood Education Center and Pre-K through seventh grade.
