The movie does a good job exploring her early life and what happened on that bus, but is rushed because of it being a TV movie that there is honestly more to the story. Bassett does a terrific job in the role. The film is an account of the life of Mrs. Rosa Louise McCauley Parks and her actions in the civil rights movement. After she refused to give up her seat for a White man on a racially segregated bus after a long day at work, she was arrested.
